Notes: | Label source: Five specimens of bark, including Ulmus fulva - Slippery elm bark, and Quillaja saponaria - Panama or Quillaia bark. Flattened pieces, Quilllaia bark, has a perfectly smooth surface, splintery, laminated fracture, and acrid taste. Slippery, elm is thinner and very fibrous. Quillaja saponaria has glittering crystals of calcium oxalate. |
