Notes: | Label source: Bark of upper part of trunk & limbs. Flakey bark of lower part of trunk. Ex Herb Hort Bot Reg Kew. H.1907-24 For museum. Recd. 5.8.24. Opuscular source: 'I am sending you some herbarium specimens of Eucalyptus nowraensis which has been des, cribed by Mr Maiden (see Crit. Rev. Eucalypts LVii.p.68) which may be of interest & which perhaps you might not have in the Herbarium. There are 4 trees close to Nowra, these specimens are from one of them, which has been felled in order to obtain timber, of the species for the Technological Museum, Sydney. It is one of the type trees. Unfortunately it has been cut down before the flowers were fully out; but I can get you a specimen with better flowers from one of the other trees if you wish it later on i, n the spring. Am also enclosing bits of the bark & some kino which you will see is of a fine red colour'. (Extract from letter F.A. Rodway Nowra, N.S.Wales, 10 June 1924) (Letter 292. 1924:xvi.p.25).
