Notes: | Label source: Grown in the open air at Guernsey. Opuscular source: Guernsey Aug. 15. 1877. Dear Sir, I shall be able in a short time to procure good specimens of the Guernsey Cabbage tree, which I will address to Mr Jackson. By this post, I send you fou, r seed capsules of the Eucalyptus globulus, just fallen from the trees - the specimen wrapped in paper is the ripest and is shedding its seed. Yours faithfully S Elliott Hoskins. P.S. Planting the whole capsule often serves as well as sowing the seeds se, parately. |
