Notes: | Label source: Called cascarilla, grown to in immature height, and generally to 7 and 8 ft in diam, at its base. The Indians strip off the bark and beat it a short time with a stick, when it readily separates into the layers. It is cut into lengths of, 5 & 6 ins, folded into the thickness of a tobacco pouch, filled and is ready for use. |
