Letter 669.1910 This is probably a species of Sickingia a genus of Rubiaceae including species native in Brazil,, Venezuela etc. The bark of the specimen is nearly identical in structure with that of S.rubra, K.Schum. A wood described by Wiesner under the name of 'rosa paraguata' agrees with the specimen in several characters, and is stated to come from S.America,, probably Venezuela.
