Notes: | Label source: Two samples of bark from W Africa, 1 & 2, no 3904/19. Imp Inst. The species agree in structure with the bark of Corynanthe johimbe K Schum. Both may belong to the same sp or an allied sp. Letter 308.1919.xiii p 63. Opuscular source: Lett, er dated August 28th.1919. Acknowledge receipt of his letter of 25th inst. and in reply say that the two samples of bark nos 3904, 1 & 2 from W Africa, submitted for identification, appear to belong to a sp of Pausinystalia. They closely resemble the bar, k of P johimba Beille (Corynanthe johimba K. Sch) the Yohimbe of the Cameroons or Endun of the French Congo. |
