Notes: | Opuscular source: Letter from Burroughs Wellcome & Co, London. dated 18.12.1895. Dear Sir, Specimens of a plant from the W Coast of Africa have been submitted to us, and thinking you would be interested to see them, we take the liberty of sending you a, few. We shall feel much obliged if you will tell us the natural order of the plant and also advise us of any info you can as to its history and properties, medicinal or otherwise. We may say that we are informed that the native name of the plant is Ojo, logbo, and that it is an evergreen growing as a bramble on hedgerows and never flowering. |
