| Notes: | Label source: Sample of root (Please see our letter dated 11/1/61) Memo to Dr Howes date 16.1.61 With reference to our telephone conversation this sample appears to consist of about 6% by weight of Matto Grosso Ipecacuanha root Cephaelis ipecacuanha. Its, remainder being in all probability, lesser striated ipecacuanha derived from Manettia ignita Schumann. As the root of Manettia ignita does not appear to be represented in the Museum, I suggest that we should keep it as a sample for (???) reference. I al, so recommend that we should ask Dr TE Wallis for an authentic sample of this drug. CR Metcalfe | ||||
