Notes: | Label source: This root from Madras has only come today. It is different from that described in Pharm Journ and is another kind of sweet costus which is quite different from Aucklandia costus. It looks to me very much like the root of Bryonia epigoea, b, ut I have not yet been able to compare the two. It is useless to send you larger specimens as you make no additions to the Museum, and previous specimens of drugs sent have never appeared in public. M Cooke. |
