C ovata - I have mentioned above that the great peculiarity of this sort consists in an orange red colour of the substance, to which I may add the strikingly yellow white (though mottled) foliaceous ep, idermis, which in some pieces becomes wrinkled and has long strings of warts opening one into the other. The bark is in quills one foot long and half an inch in diam, the bark rolled in upon itself, with a brown derm, and cuts easily. |
