Referring to your letters of the 16th and 17th inst. with regard to shea butter and to the sample you were good, enough to send us. We have examined the latter and our estimate of its present value is about 24 pounds per ton. We do not doubt a considerable demand would arise for this article, if it were continuously put on the market, but so far as we can ascerta, in there has been none offering since 1896, and then only a small parcel was sold.
