Notes: | Label source: The fruits of S.golungensis, Baker. These are fig-shaped, woody, about 1 1/2 inch long and 3/4 inch broad in the widest part, dehiscing loculicidally (sic) into two valves, the dissepiments remaining attached to the valves. They have neithe, r taste nor odour, and unless the seeds, which are not present, possess some marked properties, it is difficult to understand how the fruit can be of any service in dyspepsia or malarial diseases, for which according to Dr Parker, it is used, as well as f, or abscess. |
