Notes: | Opuscular source: Memo to Director for Dr H Muller FRS, Oct 13th, 1914, LaB. 10.10.14. Seven specimens of ebony. These agree in structure with the wood of species of Diospyros and Maba. They are perhaps from Cape Lopez, Gaboon, Duala, Bata and Kribi,, may possibly belong to one sp, while the sample of Macassar ebony may be a different sp, and that from Ceylon another. See Letter 405, 1914, ix p129. |
