Notes: | Label source: Jessamine (Jasminum spp) Jessamine or Jasmine oil is obtained from the fragrant flowers of a number of species of Jasminum. The most important are J. sambac, a native of Tropical Asia, and the common jasmine, J.officinale, a climbing plant,, (native of Persia and N.W. India) and so often seen growing in English gardens. This latter plant is cultivated for perfumery in southern France and Algeria. Oil from the flowers of several other species of Jasmine is also used in perfumery although of l, ess importance commercially. |
