Notes: | Opuscular source: Memo to Keeper. (Letter 173, 1912, vii p 139. From Cope (Tropical Seed Merchant, London EC.) We have only a few detached seed received as those of S gratus. They agree with the seeds in the follicles received today and I have no reas, on to doubt their belonging. Have you any to compare? The seeds are not as glabrous as described for S gratus. Signed OS 24.iv.12. Informed Dr Stapf that the material was identical with that received from Dr JW Rowland 7.4.90, and determined by Stapf a, s S gratus. Suggested keeping sample from Cope intact for museum, and to have Dr Rowlands kept in Herb. JMH 27.4.12. |
