Notes: | Label source: 4-6m tall, in dense shade with Ribes, Prunus serotina, tree Alnus. A. Very open, frequently burned Pinus woods, with tussock grasses (Festuca, Piptochaetium, Muhlenbergia 'Sacatonal') understory, on rocky lava and volcanic ash fields. B. De, nse moist Alnus-Prunus-Senecio spp. cloud forest micro habitat, on steep NW-facing slope in (A). Lava fields ca. 2Km. SSW. of La Cima R.R. Station on either side of old highway 95, on top of Serjana de Ajusco. ca. 1Km. N. of the Morelos border (19 degrees, 06' N; 99 degrees 12 degrees 30 mins W). Alt. ca. 10,200ft (3050-3100 m.) |
