Notes: | Label source: M. 873-29 Root from Kenya, Director of Imperial Institute (Ref. L745) The specimen has been compared with the root of Chlorodon whitei HK.f. and with that of Periploca linearifolia Dill. & Rich. It shows considerable resemblance to the latt, er of these, and is probably the root of a sp of Periploca. L.A.B. 24.10.29. Submitted as a source of perfume: the plant occurs abundantly in the neighbourhood of Linuru, Kenya and could be cultivated if required (Extract letter Director Imp. Inst. 21st O, ct 1929. |
