Notes: Label source: Root - Hausa gangamau used as dye. J.M. Dalziel. Small packet of root from Lokoto - 16 Dec. 1924 ? Obtained from Dinyadi near Bodinga Dr Moiser. Label source: 20/1929 Dalziel RBG Kew 4/4/29 To Keeper of Museum: Twigs and root of C. triangu, laris N.E. Br. The root is used as a yellow dye for leather in North Nigeria by the Hausas, see Kew Bull. 1926:230-231. The material was sent by Dr B. Moiser in Dec. 1924; collected in Sokoto Province, N. Nigeria. The Hausa name gangamau includes other ye, llow dye plants. The plant is growing in the glasshouses under Mr Taylor's case from seeds derived from the same material. J.M.D.
