Notes: | Label source: Samples of artificial cotton (wood, fibre, & fabric) brought by Prof. Moriondi. The wood (piece of stem) is from a plant belonging to the Asclepiadaceae or Apocynaceae, perhaps the same species as the stem previously examined at Kew in conn, ection with artificial cotton, and thought to be Asclepias incarnata. The fibre is probably from the same plant as the wood, bur the fabric has been made, either entirely or chiefly of cotton. L.A.B. 29.7.29. See Memo submitted to Asst. Director 29.VII.29, . in Asclepiadaceae cover J.H.H. |
