Notes: Label source: An almost white, firm, close textured timber resembling European Box in appearance and properties. It cuts firmly and sharply and is very suitable for small turnery, carving, inlays, brush backs, ornamental boxes, archery bows, rulers, sets, quares, wood engraving, air filters for foam liquid, cuticle or orange sticks and artifical fingers. Unless quarter sawn and seasoned slowly under cover, the timber is liable to warp, split and discolour. It is a medium sized tree usually 50 to 80 ft. hi, gh and about 6 ft girth, occurs in the coast brush forests of New South Wales and Queensland from Clarence River to Bundaberg, Queensland. Perfers drier brushes, but is comparatively rare. H = Hard. W = 49 - 58 lb. per cub. ft.
