As named in my note to Mr Jackson ill health has prevented until now any examination of the sample of long leafed latakia from Jamaica. I, have now carefully gone through the leaves and can report on its general fair quality, as foir indeed that it could at once come into the open market as an article of sale. Priced around 5d per lb. The selection no 1 is the only one worth sending and t, hat marked no 2 is useless. The general appearence of the leaf is such that its cultivation should be encouraged in Jamaica. | ||||
