Label source: Made by natives near Birdsville Queensland. The black cord is human hair. Needles made of the cuticle portion of feathers with cordage. One composed partly of human hair, used by the natives near Birdsville on the Diamentina River about 7mi, les on the Queensland side of the South Australian border - in weaving their Pituri bags 'Since the mixture with whites the natives have left off in a great measure manufacturing string from native plants and for weaving their bags they unravel blanketsa, nd other material' FM Bailey Esq Colonial ..?...
