Notes: | Label source: Grown near River Laur, 40 miles north of Teheran. Used by the natives for intoxicating and catching fish N of Teheran 40 miles and in neighbouring provinces. It is called Lygr koiral ni (?) in Turkish and Dum-Yau in Persian (both meaning ox, tail) the natives bruise the seed and throw it in large quanities into the Laur where it intoxicates the fish which they then take in large quanities on the ...?... |
