Notes: Label source: The leaves of this shrub are elliptic oblong, attenuated at both ends, glabrous, upper surface dark green, under the surface much lighter, margins waved petioles 1/2 in long, leaf length 4 - 5 ins breadth 1 1/2 - 1 3/4ins, venation reticul, ated, taste bitter. A considerable reputation as an expectorant amongst native practitioners in the neighbourhood, and esteemed in other parts of the country.
