Notes: | Label source: D.6449 (H. 2848/33) Mr Holland: Not Oroxylon indicum Vent. C.E.C.F. 1.1.1934. These seeds agree well with those of Pithecoctenium echinatum (Jacq.) K.Schum., a scandent shrub which is widely spread over Tropical America and has a prickly tu, berculate fruit. N.Y.S. 1.1.34. See copy of reply in Bignoniaceae Cover J.H.H. 4 Jan 1934. Sent for name by the Editor Pharm Journal from a correspondent who stated the seed had been taken from the fruit of a tree indigenous to Mexico. |
