Notes: | Label source: 202 10064/28. Letter dated May 1st 1929. Dear Sir, In reply to your letter G.2113/1. dated April 25th, the sample of patchouli leaves received for verification appear to be the leaves of Pogostemon cablin Benth. = P. patchouli Pellet., alth, ough from the crumpled state of the leaves it is difficult to be sure. There has been a good deal of confusion about the plant that yields the commercial patchouli and the question was fully discussed by Sir David Prain in Kew Bulletin No. 2. 1908, pp76-8, 2. Yours faithfully. | ||||
