Notes: | Label source: Noonoom seed pods from the Gold Coast. Gathered Feb. 27 1904 by W Boyd Ocimum viride 36.1904 see letter no. 75/1904. Noonoom 'It is a native remedy for fevers and billiousness and headache. It is also used as an enema in constipation. An in, fusion is made of the leaves and stem and drunk hot like tea. My correspondent tells me he prefers it to quinine as it leaves none of the unpleasant after effects of quinine'.
