Samples sent for report to the India Rubber Gutta percha & Telegraph Co Ltd, Silvertown & to Messrs Hecht Levis & Kahn, 21 Mincing Lane, E.6 30.1.96. JMH Para Rubber grown in Ceylon f, rom Dr Trimen Jan 31 1896. Extract from Report of Messrs. Hecht, Levis & Kahn 'It consists of 2 qualities, small round pieces of very clean rubber of excellent quality which we consider would be most valuable production and probably worth 2/3d to 2/4d pe, r lb. The second quality is mixed with bark and other impurities and although the quanity is very good the mixture of the bark and dirt would make it less valuable. The selling value today would be about 2/1d to 2/2d per lb. |
