Notes: | Opuscular source: Dr Howes, The Cascarilla or 'Peruvian Bark' appears to be the product of Croton eleuteria or a closely related species. According to Gilg-Brant-Schurhoff 'Pharmakognosie' the chief ingredients of this bark are 1. A bitter substance know, n as Cascarilla. 2. An ethereal oil 1-3%. 3. Resin 15%. 4. A tanning material. 5.
