| Notes: | Opuscular source: A gentleman known to me has brought with him from South Africa a quantity of a dried plant which he says is a most successful remedy for anthrax. Herewith I am sending you a sample of the leaves and stems only. I have not yet made a sea, rch for alkaloids or active principles in it, but should you be able from these imperfect specimens to recognise it as a known plant I should like to do so, and should feel obliged if you would further me with some infomation about it.
