Notes: | Label source: The bark appears to be very similar to a specimen in the Museum labelled 'Slippery Elm Bark' Ulmus fulva. The most characteristic similarity is the presence in it of large mucilage cells, and abundant crystals. There are, however, some diff, erences which may be due to differences in the age of the two specimens, or they may be different species. In any case I think it is possible that they are closely related C.R.M. 23.11.32 It is not the bark of Ulmus campestris C.R.M. 29.11.32 |
