Notes: | Label source: Yielded by F elastica, a beautiful tree, with shining oval or oblong leaves, frequently met with in ornamental parlour culture in England. The milk, flowing from a wound in the trunk, affords about 1/3 of its weight of caoutchouc. The inci, sions made in order to obtain it are cut across the bark to the wood, about a foot from each other, all over the stem. It is collected in India, especially in Malabar & c. |
