Notes: | Label source: Croton bark from JE Howard. In note dated 26 Dec 1855, Howard says ' C bark in which both Dr Redwood and I found an alkaloid soluble in ether and giving a green colour with chlorine and ammonia. It agrees with the bark of an unascertained, species of Croton brought home by Dr Weddell'. The bit marked C is that above referred to -- the rest is from Dr Redwood. |
