Notes: | Label source: The bark of this tree is noticed in the 'Pharmacopoeia of India'; it is a thick red bark, very light and corky, deeply fissured longitudinally and cracked transversely on the outer surface; microscopic sections show that the greater portion, of the bark consists of a corky parenchyme, much charged with red colouring matter. Walloonj bark is insipid and stains the saliva red; it is pobably quite inert. |
