From Dr Prior, 48 York Terrace Halse House, Taunton 7th Dec. - Dear Mr Jackson, enclosed are some acorns, the fruit, of Q.ballota l. which I have received this morning from Cadiz. They are brought to market in Spain and Morocco to be eaten, as filberts, or as chestnuts, roasted. These have been kept too long and are dry and hard, but perhaps may serve to look at.
