Notes: | Label source: A large scrub tree, with a warm red 'mahogany' coloured timber, moderately close textured, often with a good figure. Suitable for cabinet work and joinery work, carving, interior fittings of all kinds, cask-heads and boat building. The sapw, ood is liable to borer attack. Occurs in the North Coast districts of New South Wales and Queensland but is now rarely seen on the Sydney market. H = Moderately soft. W = 40-44 lb per cub. ft. |
