Notes: | Label source: Mexico. Michoacan, steep 45 degree slopes above north side of town of Aquila (15 km from coast) Selva baja caducifolia, with abundant Rhus, Bursera and lianas on ESE facing slope, primarily in cracks of large grey limestone rocks, gregari, ous but colonies infrequent, 450 - 500 metres asl. Old and mature fruit and one inflorescence (female) the latter at MEXU. Slender, few branched tree or shrub to 5 metres, trunk to 15cm in diam. Young stems brownish for 2 or more years, then turning grey, . Vernacular names Pacueca, tecomaca, Alacrana (infructescence only) |
