Notes: | Herbarium Kewense. West Sepik District. British Museum - Division of Botany, Lae Expedition to the Territory of Papua and New Guinea - 1970. Amanab Sub-district; Bewani Mts. nr. Kilifas on the river Yenabu; ridge about 1 km. west of the village on the opp, osite side of the river, on a north east facing slope in mixed Dipterocarp forest (including Hopea and Anisoptera spp.) with deep litter over heavy clay loam; growing in shade. Small treelet to 2m. high; outer bark dark brown, under-bark pinkish-straw col, oured with darker flecks; leaves. leathery, bullate, dark green above, paler yellowish green beneath; fruits on the branches, bright orange. |
