| Notes: | Close to the main road from San Salvador towards Sonsonate about 44km south-west of the town of Izalco. Small branchy tree to 3m ht. Bark smooth mid grey with a strong odour of garden peas and onion when cut. Leaves mainly shed, a few mature leaves persis, tent on tree, flushing with mostly immature leaves. Abundant flowers attracting a range of small bees; calyx reddish, standard petal white tinged lilac with yellow-green blotch at the base, keel petals white tinged deep purple at the tip. Isolated roadsid, e tree in a heavily populated area with highly degraded secondary vegetation and few trees such as Cordia dentata and mango. | ||||
