| Notes: | Flora of Mexico. Close to the road running south-west towards the small town of Temascal from the main road between Tierra Blanca and Tuxtepec about 10km north-east of Temascal in low rolling hills east of the Sierra Madre Oriental. Small branchy tree to, 7m ht. with an open spreading crown. Bark mid grey, smooth almost shiny with rusty brown lenticels alligned in horizontal lines and shallow vertical fissuring. Foliage mainly recently flushed with a large petiolar gland wider than the petiole. A few flowe, r heads and buds; calyx and corolla green, stamen filaments and an thers pinkish white, style pink with a white tip. A few ripe and unripe pods, green tinged reddish turning dark brown at ripeness. Frequent, scattered in secondary regrowth with Acacia ang, ustissima and Guzuma ulmifolia. | ||||
