| Notes: | Label source: Near La Mirador which lies in the Finca San Benito in coastal hills about 20km inland from the Pacific coast about 30km WNW of the port of Acajutla, near the El Imposible forest reserve. Small tree to 5m ht. with light branching and an open, crown. Bark mid grey brown with shallow vertical orange-brown fissures. Flower heads pale pink, stamen filaments white, anthers rose pink ageing lilac, hairy, style white protruding beyond stamens giving a star-like flower head profile. A few unripe pods, reddish-maroon tinged green, glossy. Locally frequent, scattered in secondary forest with Albizia adinocephala and Piptadenia obliqua on an exposed dry freely drained ridge | ||||
