| Notes: | Label source: On the western flanks of the Sierra Mazateca overlooking the Tehuacan valley close to the road running ENE from Teotitlan del Camino towards Huautia about 17km from Teotitlan near the border between Puebla and Oaxaca. Small shrubby multiple, -stemmed tree to 2m ht. Bark smooth mid grey and slightly shiny. Flowers at all stages from buds to immature developing ovaries; calyx and corolla green tinged deep purple at tips stamen filaments dirty cream white, anthers purple, style white and protrud, ing beyond stamens. Locally common, a few scattered trees in degraded dry thorn scrub with Acacia and Quercus. | ||||
