Notes: | Label source: This tree grows to a height of 70 ft, with a straight erect trunk. The timber is light brown in colour, straight grained, easily worked, and somewhat resembles oak in appearance. This photo shows the large glossy leaves which make it one, of the most beautiful trees of NZ northern forests. Distribution: North Island. In forests from the N Cape to the E Cape and Raglan, but local to the south of Auckland. |
