Notes: | Label source: A small deciduous tree found in mixed forests throughout India, Burma and Ceylon. The wood is moderately hard and close grained but easy to work. It is chiefly used in turnery and carving, for bowls, platters, combs, picture frames etc. Th, e bark of the stem and roots are given as an antidote for snake bites and scorpion stings. |
