Dept of Information 15 March 1915. Dear Sir, The beetle from Nicora nuts, which you have sent to Dr Harmer, is Pachymerus lacerdae. Chv.? a species of the fa, mily Bruchidae. We have other specimens from Bahia and also the nuts from which they came. These nuts are not named, but appear to me to be exactly like the one you have sent us with the beetle. Yours faithfully C.
