Forest and capoeiras, Barra de Rio Negro.x0Dx0Ax0Dx0ASource: Museum Entry Book 1847-55: Five brooms of piassaba, made by Indian, s on the Rio Negro. Two of these are wrapped at the end with piassaba itself: one is wrapped with Timbo titca, on with Jacatara (the stem of a twining, prickly palm probably Desmoncus polyacanthos), one with uaruma (Calathea sp.) The largest requires a h, andle- the others used without.
