| Notes: | Label source: Arum spp. A genus of Araceae the species of which are found in many parts of the world: Fibre - I have never seen the fibre of ant species, but Bernardin states that fibre has been extracted from A.macrorrhizon (= Alocasia macrorrhizos) an, d from A. funiculaceum (species not in the Index Kewensis). Both are included in the Flax's Hemp Comission list, the first named fibre measuring 19 feet and the second, 'aerial root 10.5 to 14.5; petiole 2ft. 6ins.' (Useful Fibres o the World (Donges?)
