Notes: | Label source: An almost white, tough, fairly close textured, straight-grained timber, sometimes with interlocked wavy, fiddleback and ribbon-like figure. It is also a good seasoning timber; does not warp or twist. The timber is chiefly used for veneers,, plywood, panelling, interior decoration, flooring, lining, joinery, tennis racquets, cricket stumps, baseball bats, shafts, aeroplane construction, boat ribs, sail slats, oars and skulls. It bends well being used for bows, roof and hood sticks and motor-b, ody work. It is a medium sized tree growing in the forests of north-eastern Queensland. H = moderately soft W = about 45 lb per cub. ft. |
