Notes: | Label source: This variety has been grown to a very limited extent in some Southern States and is reported on favorably wherever it will ripen. It grows from 12 to 17 feet high, and where it can be grown to perfection, produces a much larger amount of st, alks and juice (in weight) than the early Amber. It is from 4 to 5 weeks later than the early Amber, if planted at the same time and given the same cultivation. Last year it did not ripen until October 26th while the early Amber was ripe September 16th. T, he seed makes good food for animals and is especially valuable for poultry. It requires the same cultivation as corn. Plant rows running north to south. | ||||
