It is much cultivated in the subtropics and in those parts of the tropics where there is a cool season, often for human food. This millet is often s, een in this country as spray millet for cage birds. Its advantages as a crop are its quick maturity and its ability to withstand dry condition it is much grown for forage on sandy lands in Austria, Italy and the Balkan region. |
